Torani is a San Leandro, California-based flavoring syrup and sauce company founded in 1925, when Italian immigrants Rinaldo and Ezilda Torre brought their family recipes from Lucca, Italy to San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood and began hand-crafting syrups to sell to homesick Italian Americans. The brand is credited with putting Italian soda on the American map in the 1920s and creating the world's first flavoured latte in 1982 — milestones that helped define modern coffee shop culture globally. Now a certified B Corp with a portfolio of 150+ flavours sold across cafes, restaurants, and home kitchens worldwide, Torani remains a fiercely independent, family-connected Bay Area business celebrating its centennial year in 2025.
